more than just a "MOM"

This movie was shown in my family & marriage class, and I couldn't NOT share. It touched me so much-as it reminded me so much of my mother. My mother may not have been a news anchor--but she could have done so much with her life, yet, she wanted, chose, and decided to be a mother, the most excellent of one I might add.

I have always loved my mother, and being away from home has made my love grow even more. Because of my mothers example--I believe I am apart of all that she has shown/done for me. She is remarkable. And I hope everyone in this life has the chance to meet her someday.

I love you mom.

"Sunday Will Come"

"Christ's life. which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem, nor concluded in Calvary. For He lives. He is the Only Begotten of the Father, Redeemer of the World."
--The Living Christ

Words can not begin to express the peace of knowing that Christ has overcome this world--and that by Him and through Him are all things possible.
I feel humbled for the amount of perfect love He has for all of us.
This movie perfectly illustrates that even though we may go through the lowest of lows, we usually will have the highest of highs.
We may be brought low, but Christ always brings us higher.

I love this gospel.

true love

I feel like this post doesn't need a lot of words to it because the picture speaks for itself. Doesn't their face radiate true love?

We are Women of God

I found this gem from 1999 by my favorite, Sheri Dew. She has a way of always inspiring me to be a better woman of God--one who knows who she is, and loves being who she is.

Quotes: Ensign Feb. 2012

I love that Marvin J. Ashton always talks on charity---it reminds me of another quote by him that "Charity is not something we can give away...we must acquire it, and as we implement it in our lives, we can never be the same again." Charity changes us! And President Uchtdorf always knows how to make you feel the love of Heavenly Father on such a deep and personal level. I know that this quote is super important because the Ensign put it in twice!

Moments that Matter Most

This is probably most favorite mormon message.
It seems that so often in our world of "instant" now and getting from point A to point B we forget to stop and enjoy the little things that matter most. I have found that those little moments are the most precious. The laugh or smile of a child, or the sunrise that we see before we start our day--those small moments of joy far outweigh any worldly accomplishment we could ever fulfill in this life.
President Utchdorf teaches us this so well....to SLOW DOWN.

Expressions of Love

In this week of Valentine's Day, there is no better way to celebrate this day of love than through this video. I love that it focuses on each of the couples love directs them to the Savior. This is a great example of the kind of marriage I want to have....marrying my best friend and inspiring me to try a little harder to be a little better.
